Personal Statement

I am dedicated to providing clients with the most effective and personal counseling methods to meet their needs and unleash their potential.  I focus on present-centered methods that aid clients in becoming aware of their current lives and choices.  I believe that therapy is a necessary tool to discovering oneself at the various stages of life and maturity.  Results and positive interventions are my goals in the therapeutic process.  Although, my goal is to provide brief therapy, some clients may need more time to achieve the goals they set out for themselves.

Counseling is a process that requires a solid client-counselor relationship.  Establishing this relationship is one of the most fundamental and difficult steps in counseling.  I work with clients to achieve the trust, respect, honesty, and warmth that this relationship demands.  I will encourage clients to take risks and move to places that are unknown within themselves.

Counseling can be exhausting, overwhelming, and difficult at times but as a team, we work together to overcome these obstacles and find the peace that lies within us all.  Although counseling may be difficult, the rewards are immeasurable.

My strengths are my ability to listen, understand, and walk with my clients through this process.  I am honest and up-front with my clients at all times.  I value the uniqueness and genuineness of each person I meet with and am not judgmental of choices that my clients have made.  Many of my clients have reported learning a new, positive way to view the world.  Including increased satisfaction with their relationships with others, their careers, and themselves.
