Personal Statement

Counseling it seems has always been a way of life for me. I did not know of the term counseling at the time, but even as a child, I would listen intently to friends talk about issues they were dealing with.  I would always contemplate and plan out ways that would help resolve the issues they were facing, and thus put a smile on their face.

As an adult, I recognize that having the ability to help others is a passion of mine.  I am committed to providing my clients with the resources necessary for fundamentals changes in their lives to occur.  Through guidance, education, goal-setting, and teamwork, I believe that each individual has the capacity to enhance their life in a positive manner.  I am dedicated to providing support, encouragement, and accountability for my clients.  I also believe in creating an environment where my clients feel safe, which is crucial for resolution and change.  Patience and empathy are my strongest qualities.

As a Christian, I firmly believe God holds the ultimate key to our lives, but He has given us the ability and opportunity to make choices.  As a counselor, I am suited to assist with those choices to help each person self-explore in order to achieve personal growth and to reach their full potential.  I will use every tool in my toolbox in order to put smiles on faces!
